Our Driving Purpose

PerimeTek was founded in 2008 with one goal: to raise the professional standard
of commercial pest management. From starting out as a small home-based operation, to now having the only privately owned, state-of-the-art Urban Entomology Lab in the northeast region of the US, every step of our growth has been rooted in science, integrity, and the belief that results should be measurable.

Where most companies broaden their reach, we chose to narrow our focus, serving only commercial environments where performance, and compliance, are critical. That decision has shaped everything we do, from our technician training programs to the way we design data-backed treatment protocols.

Today, PerimeTek stands as a trusted partner to food processors, healthcare networks, property managers, and manufacturers across New York. Our internal research, advanced diagnostics, and proactive communication standards make us the company others call when the job requires precision.

Our Story

A timeline of how PerimeTek struggled, persevered, and grew.

2008-2012
Founding & Early Growth
  • August 2008: Andrew and Holly Sanefski found Perimetek Pest Management.
  • Spring 2009: Services begin from their home garage in Cicero, NY, using eco-friendly materials.
  • 2010: PerimeTek hired its first employee, Pete Kope, marking the transition from owner-only operations to a growing service team.
  • 2011–2012: Early commercial relationships laid the groundwork for future specialization, despite residential services still making up part of the workload.
2013-2015
Laying The Scientific Foundation
  • 2013: PerimeTek moved into its first commercial office in East Syracuse, enabling the formal launch of the Urban Entomology Lab and introducing diagnostic capabilities beyond standard field identification.
  • 2014: A full-time employee was added, allowing PerimeTek to expand service capacity while maintaining consistent service standards.
  • 2015: Continued investment in training and diagnostic tools reinforced the company’s belief that data, observation, and research should inform every pest management decision.
2016-2019
Expansion & Specialization
  • 2016: New technical team members joined the team
  • 2017: Additional staff members added to bring the team to 6.
  • 2019: A move was made again to a larger office and expanded Urban Entomology Lab. The decision was made to move away from any residential sales or marketing to focus exclusively on commercial account focus.

2021: Commercial growth rebounded, and Andrew Sanefski joined the New York Pest Management Association (NYPMA) Board, contributing to industry advocacy and education.

2022: The Urban Entomology Lab expanded again, adding a training room, multiple microscope stations, and insect rearing colonies to support ongoing research and staff development.
